The set-up of the Centre is being supported by a Development Team, led by Nesta and its Alliance for Useful Evidence, in partnership with the Social Care Institute for Excellence, FutureGov and Traversum.
The Centre’s research partner, is a consortium led by CASCADE at Cardiff University.
We recently recruited Michael Sanders as our Executive Director. Michael will be taking up post in January 2019.
The Centre is initially funded by the Department for Education. During its set up phase and prior to formal incorporation of the Centre as an independent organisation, the development team and research partner report on progress and value for money considerations to the Department’s Steering Group.
We are working very closely with a wide range of stakeholders to advise on the Centre’s strategy, research priorities, and future products and services.
This group includes representatives from key charities working with children and families including: NSPCC, Action for Children and the Children’s Society.
The Expert Review Panel is working with the Research Partner to develop the standards of evidence and outcomes framework for the Centre
We are working with the Family Rights Group and their networks to engage with parents, grandparents, siblings and carers.
This Panel consists of principal social workers, lead practitioners, frontline social workers, and voluntary sector practitioners from across the country.
This group of sector leaders and experts, supports the Centre’s continued development with expert advice and insight.
This panel includes children and young people aged between 13 and 24 years of age, with a range of experiences of social care, including having been on child protection or child in need plans, young people currently in care and care leavers.
