After many years working as a public services health practitioner, Annie returned to academia. She is currently working on the What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care research projects, as well as leading two projects exploring social issues in Wales.

The main focus of her research is Children’s and family services, especially evaluation of their process and efficacy. Her current interest is in relationship and strengths based models of service delivery as well as the process and efficacy of secure accommodation.
