Before WWCSC, Eleanor worked at Education Endowment Foundation for nearly 10 years. Most recently, she led the Programmes team at EEF, generating and applying evidence, and scaling evidence-based approaches, in order to improve the attainment of disadvantaged pupils. She was also seconded to the Youth Futures Foundation in its early stages, to lead thinking about how best to tackle youth unemployment. Previously she has worked in not-for-profit research and consultancy organisations. Eleanor also has roles as a local councillor and Cabinet Member with responsibility for children, and is a trustee of a homelessness foundation.
Most of her spare time is spent watching Doctor Who with her daughter, or listening to the radio, because she still thinks that podcasts are just a fad.
