Guy Goodwin

Head of Communications

As Head of Communications, Guy helps to tell the Centre’s story and to engage a wide range of audiences in its work. Guy has extensive experience across marketing, media relations, brand strategy, digital, public affairs and corporate communications.

Before the What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care, Guy was freelancing in various senior communication roles, mostly in medical research, including for the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, the Medical Research Council and the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre network, funded by the Department of Health and Cancer Research.

However, Guy started his career in publishing where a highlight was Arthur C Clarke calling up and asking to speak to him in person.

Secret to Guy’s achievements for the What Works Centre is his dog, Wiggo, who frequently accompanies him in the Centre’s new dog-friendly offices.
