Huma supports the development and delivery of What Works for Children’s Social Care programmes, which aim to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
Prior to the WWCSC, Huma worked at Nesta, as the Customer Success Manager for Rocket Fund, a free, non-profit, crowdfunding platform for schools. She later worked on the EdTech Innovation Testbed, a programme in partnership with the DfE that supported schools and colleges to make more effective use of educational technology.
She also spent many years working as a teacher in several inner London schools. She has a passion for education, with a particular interest in behaviour management, and the social barriers to learning.
Huma holds a BA in International Relations from Queen Mary, University of London, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
Outside of work she can be found recreating recipes from her travels, pondering life’s big questions, and practicing in her new role as an aunt to her nephew.
