Javed will be supporting the development and delivery of programmes, which aim to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
He has a BA in History and Politics from Goldsmiths and an MSc in Government, Policy and Politics from Birkbeck, where he researched outcomes-based commissioning in social care. He has an interest in government and social policy including welfare systems, education and health and, social care services.
Prior to WWCSC, he worked at Macmillan Cancer Support and the Health
Foundation, working on a complex portfolio where he supported; a mixture of in-
house analysis and work, commissioning of external grants, research awards,
commissioned award programmes and evaluations. In addition to knowledge
mobilisation to influence policy and practice and measuring research impact.
He has a passion for fitness and health and is a sports enthusiast. Moreover, is an avid reader with an eclectic home library and keen baker. In his spare time, he also volunteers as a mentor for 2nd and 3rd year undergraduates from disadvantaged backgrounds, supporting them with career guidance and skills building.
