Jermaine Ravalier

Director of Programmes

Jermaine is Director of Programmes. He is an academic by background, whose research expertise and experience surrounds the mental health and wellbeing of Health and Social Care practitioners in the UK and beyond. He has worked with tens of thousands of social workers, in particular, over the last few years in the development of wellbeing-related toolkits. However, Jermaine realises that mental health and wellbeing are one part of the picture – social care workers do the job because they want the best for their clients and service users, and by improving the mental health of the workforce we improve outcomes for those service users. He was recently given a Professorship in Organisational Psychology and Social Justice at Bath Spa University, becoming one of the youngest professors of colour in the country, where he spends the ‘other half’ of his working time.

Outside of work, he has two children who he loves spending time with. He also loves sport – football was his first love, but also trains in MMA and watches as much as he can!
