Kate is responsible for all the day-to-day operations of What Works for Children’s Social Care. This involves overseeing a wide range of functions including finance and grant reporting, contract negotiations, IT, systems and processes as well as people and performance management, supporting the wider WWCSC team as the organisation expands and develops.
Prior to WWCSC Kate spent six years as Chief Operating Officer at Oomph! Wellness; operationally transforming a “social start-up” to become a multi-award-winning business in 2019 and enhancing the lives of thousands of older adults living in care. Kate also has director level experience within children’s social care; leading a community interest company providing support to disabled young people.
Before transferring to the social sector, Kate spent the early part of her career acquiring broad ranging experience within the business sector; holding a number of strategically important commercial roles in business development, client relations and financial operations.
In her spare time, Kate loves being active and, most weekends, will be out on her bike with her family.
