The National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) is an independent research organisation and registered charity based in Westminster, London. Founded in 1938, NIESR is Britain’s longest established independent research institute. NIESR’s mission is to undertake economic and social research to influence policy and practice to bring about positive change in people’s lives. As part of this mission NIESR has a substantial track record in undertaking evaluations of programmes and interventions across a wide range of domains and sectors, focused on improving outcomes for children, young people and their families.
