Nick Fitzhenry joined What Works for Children’s Social Care in 2020. In his role as a quantitative researcher, his work involves the design of evaluations, using experimental and quasi-experimental approaches, to establish the impact of children’s social care interventions.
Before joining the team, Nick has worked on a number of evaluation studies in South Africa, investigating the impact of land and cash grant programs on the livelihoods of children and families. He holds a master’s degree in applied economics from the University of Cape Town, and another in economic history from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
When he is not crunching numbers, Nick hosts pub quizzes and enjoys cycling, photography, and playing complicated board games.
