Royal Borough of Greenwich

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is embarking on a new approach to knowledge and skills development in the form of whole-service thematic practice weeks that focus on specific themes and combine a focus on research and practice evidence, drawing on insights and learning from experts by experience and training resources.

What Works for Children’s Social Care will work with RBG to evaluate the impact of practice weeks on social workers’ knowledge and skills and ultimately on outcomes for children and families.

We worked with RBG during the prototyping phase of the PINE programme so we are delighted to continue this partnership and build an evidence base for supporting social workers’ learning and development.

Florence Kroll, Director of Children’s Services said:

“We are delighted that Royal Greenwich is involved with What Works for Children’s Social Care. We consider the learning environment for our social workers as one of the most important elements of practice and welcome the opportunity to continue to contribute to the evidence base in this area.”
