My journey into social work was more or less imposed by my father. Although it started as my father’s expectation, this profession has grown on me. I attach a lot of meaning to my journey in social work due to my desire to understand the cause, effect, and impact regarding the different young people, children, and families that we work with. I am an Associate Director, my role involves practice improvement and quality assurance. I am also the appointed Children and Families Principal social worker in one of the organizations in the SE region.
In my spare time, I find refuge in playing an African musical instrument known as “mbira”. The sound helps serenade my soul and mind.
