Community Care Live 2021
Thank you for visiting us at Community Care Live. There are lots of ways for you to get involved or keep up to date with our work.
Working with practice is at the heart of what we do
Join our social worker polling and have your say! We regularly send out surveys to social workers on important issues facing children’s social care and responses help shape our research and strategy. Surveys are sent out every two to four weeks and the results are published on our website.
Evidence, Learning and Methods (ELM) Training
As part of What Works for Children’s Social Care’s commitment to encouraging an increasingly evidence-minded sector, we run regular CPD-accredited Evidence, Learning and Methods (ELM) training. This free three-part course aims to support social workers in becoming more confident in understanding different research methods, their strengths, weaknesses and uses.
Practice in Need of Evidence (PINE)
Excellent practice is happening all over the country, but in most instances, without an evidence-base. Through our PINE programme we find promising practice and support social care organisations to be more evidence-minded and evaluate their own practice. If you have an exciting piece of practice or an intervention you would like support to evaluate, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are working with partners on a number of projects to improve social work practice through better use of evidence.
