Danielle has spent 15 years working to improve the use of high quality evidence in policy making, as an academic, a researcher, and a civil servant. She joined the team from the RSA where she was the Education Director. Prior to that she spent four years as the Head of Research at the Education Endowment Foundation, where she oversaw the development of their evidence Toolkit as a global resource, creating versions for use in Australia, South America and Europe.
Whilst in Government, she led the What Works Team in Cabinet Office, and was a member of the Government Social Research Board, having managed analytical teams in HM Treasury and the Child Poverty Unit. As a researcher at the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion she worked on the evaluation of welfare-to-work and area-based initiatives, and at Oxford University she contributed to the development Index of Multiple Deprivation
