Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (AFNCCF) is a world-leading children’s mental health charity with 65 years of experience leading system-wide change and evaluation to improve mental health and social care services for children and young people. For decades they have worked with schools, local authorities and other third sector organisations to deliver and evaluate interventions that are designed to positively impact the development, mental health and wellbeing of young people and their parents or carers.
Over the years this commitment to research and evaluation has seen the establishment of two significant partnerships; the Evidence Based Practice Unit (EBPU) and the Child Attachment and Psychological Therapies Research Unit (ChAPTRe), both of which represent distinct AFNCCF partnerships with University College London to deliver world-class research led by experts in their field.
