The interdisciplinary University of Sussex team brings internationally recognised expertise in research and evaluation, combined with in-depth understanding of the complex and dynamic fields of social work and allied areas of policy, systems and practice. Our methodological range extends from RCTs and quasi-experimental trials to realistic and theory led evaluation, including mixed-methods, multi-stakeholder and participatory process and outcome evaluation designs. Our substantive experience and track record in the children’s social care sector, along with our extensive partnership work with policy makers, providers, practitioners and service users, brings invaluable insight and credibility to our research. We are committed to providing fit-for-purpose evaluations, underpinned by the highest academic standards, to generate robust resources through a mosaic of evidence.
