The EQ Summer Internship programme is back, and once again there are several opportunities available at WWCSC.
Following the success of last year’s programme, The EQ is looking for enthusiastic university students with a passion for finding evidence-led solutions to some of the biggest social challenges facing the UK today.
Along with us, this year’s interns can apply for roles at three other EQ organisations: The Centre for Evidence and Implementation (CEI), Neighbourly Lab and Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO).
More information on all participating organisations, as well as how to apply, is available on the EQ website.
Interns interested in our work can choose to join any of the below teams:
- Policy and Communications
Interns will be integrated into their chosen team and will be able to attend team meetings, training, and other events, as well as gaining first-hand experience working in a dynamic organisation at the intersection of policy and research.
The Research team conducts cutting edge research, often focusing on evaluations of new and existing interventions.
The Operations team manages the smooth running of the organisation.
Policy and Communications Team
The Policy and Comms team ensures our work has the maximum impact for children and their families, engaging a wide range of audiences in our work, as well as sharing our evidence-led policy recommendations with key decision makers, such as those in government to influence change.
The Practice team leads on engagement with the sector, working closely with those with professional and personal experience of children’s social care to create a culture of evidence-minded practice.
The Programmes team commission cutting edge research, funding and supporting projects and evaluations in order to grow the evidence base in Children’s Social Care.
