The London Borough of Southwark are partnering with What Works for Children’s Social Care to evaluate their Father’s Parenting Programme. The programme supports fathers who are receiving support from social care and early help services and aims to improve parenting capacity. We are really pleased to be involved in building an evidence base for working with fathers as we know this is an area of practice that many organisations struggle with.
What Works for Children’s Social Care will be supporting Southwark to improve their use of evidence at an organisational level in preparation for the evaluation of the Father’s Parenting Programme, by delivering DEMO and an Evidence Masterclass.
Jenny Brennan, Assistant Director Family Early Help and Youth Justice said
“This is an exciting opportunity for Southwark to establish the creative work we have been doing with fathers as a model of effective practice. We look forward to working with What Works for Children’s Social Care and moving from a belief that programmes work to a more robust evidence base.”
