Lys has recently completed her studies in BA Social Work at Anglia Ruskin University, where she gained a range of experiences working in both charity and statutory settings. She has worked with children and families affected by exploitation in addition to older adults experiencing mental health problems.
Prior to this, she volunteered as a peer mentor for young girls at risk of exploitation. She is particularly passionate about trauma-informed approaches to care and relational activism in social work practice.
In her spare time, Lys enjoys taking her sausage dog for walks, reading and browsing antique stores for 60’s finds.
