Nimal is a registered social worker with over 20 years’ experience of statutory children’s social work including youth justice. Her experience spans Senior Practice Development Lead with SCIE, Policy Adviosry with DHSC, Strategic Engagement Lead during the development of Social Work England, Programme Director for the South East London Teaching partnership pilot.
Nimal is experienced in supporting organisations to reflect and focus on practice and organisational development, innovation and coproduction with workforce and citizens.
Nimal was educated at Middlesex University for her BA in Social Work and holds a post qualifying MA in Advanced Social Work: Professional Leadership from Goldsmiths University of London. She is an active Practice Educator and has taught at masters level on various management programmes.
Nimal enjoys forest bathing and when she has the time creates mixed media abstract art.
