Oana Gurau

Research Associate

As a a Research Associate, Oana uses her quantitative research experience
to analyse randomised controlled trials and determine the impact of interventions in
social care towards improving the well-being of children and social workers.

Oana completed her DPhil in Clinical Neurosciences at the University or
Oxford where she previously obtained an MSc by Research in Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry. Her commitment to enhancing youth welfare and equity is apparent both
through her research and other work. For two years, she was a Junior Dean at
Oxford’s Mansfield College and has been an active mentor within several Romanian
initiatives that aim to improve opportunities for young people.

Oana is a keen tennis fan, dog-lover, and pizza taster. She loves spending time in
nature and getting to know animals around the world.
