Evidence Hubs
Working with practice is at the heart of what we do
In September 2022, we partnered up with a network of local authorities around England to create Evidence Hubs. These new hubs will ensure evidence and good quality research is being shared practice-wide throughout their organisation to help support staff and the children and families they work with. Each Hub will also be home to at least one Evidence Ambassador – social workers whose insight about what social workers need and want from their evidence is pivotal to guiding our work.
With support from us and other like-minded research organisations such as the Early Intervention Foundation, Nuffield Family Justice Observatory and The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, our Evidence Ambassadors are able to deliver events in their organisations across the year, reaching hundreds of practitioners who are working directly with children and families. Currently, we are working with 29 Evidence Ambassadors in 18 Local authorities.
Senior leaders based in our Hubs and Evidence Ambassadors are also participating in roundtables and events to feedback on our work.
We believe that the Evidence Ambassadors and Hubs will help to create a change in the system, as well as feedback to us on priorities for future research.
